Presenting Her Excellency Lola Falana, New Jersey-born, Philadelphia-raised, Cuban-African American singer and dancer, bombshell sexpot, protege (and lover) of Sammy Davis, Jr., Broadway star (also major star of Italian television and cinema in the late 1960s and early 1970s), Playboy centerfold model and winner of the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actress (for her debut American film role in The Liberation of L.B. Jones) in 1970, Tony Award nominee, regular guest on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, Laugh-in, and The Flip Wilson Show, as well as on her own highly-rated TV specials, named Queen of Las Vegas due to her consistently sold-out performances at The Sands, The Riviera, The MGM Grand, and The Aladin, star of the legendary Faberge Tigress perfume ads, performing the song Fame on the Italian TV special Made in Italy in 1981.
