THE OUTSTANDINGLY EXCELLENT EXPERIMENTAL, YET WEARABLE, MODERNITY of PETER PILOTTO and CHRISTOPHER De VOS

Applauding the dazzlingly daring experimental Excellence of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection of designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos for their label Peter Pilotto, shown in the car park of the Selfridge & Co. department store on Tuesday, February 22, 2010, final day of London Fashion Week, featuring extraordinarily eclectic interpretations of 1970s inspirations (imagined fading interiors as seen on Woody Allen movie sets, modernist architecture): Slim dresses embellished with a silver stripe or a fur pocket and simple coats. Paisley Liberty prints appeared on body-skimming long-sleeve dresses. Draping embellished linear cuts. Daytime looks: trousers in rusty brocade paired with glazed Harris Tweed jackets, detailed with fur or a chunky knit cardigan with metallic leather paneling and button-front printed blouses worn with shredded PVC leggings.
