Presenting the costumes, as designed by Miuccia Prada, and sets, by Outstandingly Excellent architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron, for the Metropolitan Opera’s premiere production of Attila, one of Giuuseppe Verdi’s rousing early operas, directed by Pierre Audi, starring Ildar Abdrazakov, with music conducted by Riccardo Muti in his Met debut . Says Herzog: ” Attila describes the moment in history where an old world, an antique world, is collapsing and something new is rising out of the rubble of the old.”
