Modus Operandi: An Excellent Conversation with Gaspard Yurkievich

Born in Paris to Argentinean parents, Gaspard Yurkievich launched his women’s collection in 1998. A men’s clothing and shoe collection followed in 2003 and an in 2005 he introduced an accessories line. Yurkievich’s work has been called “dynamic with a dark edge,” and his looks range from “simple, sculptural pieces in black to explorations of outlandish prints, complex constructions and distinctive textured fabrics.” Recently, The EP asked Yurkievich to shed some light on his modus operandi and design philosophy.
