Excellent Investment: Outstandingly Fashionable Socialite Daphne Guinness Buys Entire Isabella Blow Wardrobe From Christie’s, London

In a secretly  swift and Outstandingly Excellent move that has caused the cancellation of the Christie’s auction, which was previously scheduled to take place in London on September 15, 2010, fashionable heiress and art-loving socialite Daphne Guinness has purchased the entire collection of 90 outfits and 28 photographs of legendary style icon Isabella Blow. “It’s Issy — it’s her DNA — it should not be scattered to the four winds,”  Ms. Guinness told the equally legendary and stylish journalist Suzy Menkes of The International Herald Tribune via The New York Times. “I want it to remain as a monument.” Who could dare to disagree?

An Excellently Anonymous Acquisition: Pablo Picasso’s “Nu au Plateau de Sculpteur (Nude, Green Leaves and Bust)”, Sold via Christie’s

Presenting Pablo Picasso’s painting, “Nu au Plateau de Sculpteur (Nude, Green Leaves and Bust),” made during a single day in March of 1913, which sold, by phone, to an Excellently anonymous collector for $106.5 million, a world record auction price for a work of art, at Christie’s International in New York, Tuesday night, May 4, 2010.
