Excellency for Your Consideration: Michael Clark + Mikhail Baryshnikov + Kate Moss (?)

Presenting His Excellency Michael Clark, legendary Scottish dancer and choreographer (called a “true iconoclast” by London’s Independent on Sunday newspaper), collaborator with Bodymap, Leigh Bowery, Hussein Chalayan, The Fall,  among others, founder of The Michael Clark Company, soon to direct Baryshnimoss, a short ballet film starring Mikhail Baryshnikov, and model Kate Moss (heretofore unknown as a prima ballerina and currently in study with Clark). “In Michael’s eye as a film-maker, the movement of the camera dances already by itself, ” said a member of Clark’s production team. “It will be an extremely interesting collaboration”.  The movie “will be shown at some sort of fund-raiser but if anything it will go into a gallery where everybody can see it. I think that is how Michael sees it.”
