Vanessa is ‘HOME GROWN’ in the USA! Vanessa lived with her family in Manassas, Virginia since 1997. She first learned to skate at the local SkateQuest ice arena at the age of 11 yrs (1998), attended Parkside Elementary School and then Osborne Park HS. She later moved with her family to Elkton, Maryland in 2006 where she received elite training for figure skating at the Pond Ice Area in Delaware before moving across the globe to France in 2007 to skate with her skating partner Yannick Bonheur
Brave and courageous Vanessa did not know anyone in France nor could she speak a word of the French language prior to her move to France!
*Correction to post – Vanessa and Yannick are both professionals that skate together as a team/partnership. There is no romantic connection.
